Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) with Animal Research - Scientist and Stakeholder Workshop

We are holding a workshop in April 2019 to bring together scientists and stakeholders to progress practices that will enable people to have more comfortable and productive conversations about animal research within the context of patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE).

The workshop will present further analysis from our recent report for the Animal Research Nexus Project and help develop outputs of value to the research community. We are looking for people to share experiences and help brainstorm the development of evaluation criteria, case studies, training guidelines, and other techniques to progress good practice.

The workshop will be held in central London. We have invited representatives from across biomedical science, research funders, involvement professionals, lay members, and others who have an interest and stake in understanding and developing these conversations. Space at this workshop is now very limited, but if you would like to take part, please email Gail Davies (g.f.davies@exeter.ac.uk) or Rich Gorman (r.gorman@exeter.ac.uk).
